GardeMatic Fountains belongs to GardeMatic Ltd., established in the year 1989. The company is located in Budapest, Hungary, in the heart of Europe.

Having a routine in computer design of water piping systems we have received more and more requests to make fountain designs and complete fountain projects.

In those years fountains did not offer so many special attractions, than they do today. They consisted of simple nozzles, sometimes may be with lighting, but in spite of this they attracted many people – sitting, chatting, relaxing, admiring it.

This obvious attraction resulted the development of more and more breath-taking water features.

Fountains are not simply „worth-to-see” creations. Where you take a look and leave. Fountains have impact on almost all of our senses. Besides the visually attractive water features the calming, whispering sound effects, the humid air in the surrounding, the slightly cooler temperature, lights, movements, eventually music , rhythm , their combination and the harmony of all these can improve our mood, our state of mind, make us feel relaxed and balanced. People take the time to let their senses perceive, experience all these joys.

Our first fountains were in the main streets or main squares of the shopping areas in exclusive tourist-frequented towns, localities. By now we have built a lot of different fountains on different places indoor and outdoor: water curtains, jumping jets, moving water features with music and lights, for communal and private demands. In those years we wouldn’t have thought, that we would ever have to build a fountain for the demand of a middle-class private person.

In the first years we have made the designs using the combination of existing traditional elements. By now we have quite a few innovative products that we are really proud of. We have developed a fountain controller on a brand new concept. Earlier fountain controllers were big, cupboard-size units. Programming of them was very complicated, time-consuming, as well as servicing. PLC technology, what they were based on, needs a skilled person, not anyone can do it. Should any problem occur, the expert has to visit the site.

Our controller –NanoMagic – enables a very simple „at a glance” programming. It can be done by anyone, who has read the instruction manual. The programming of the different nozzles, lights and music is all possible without any university degree, fast, and efficiently. Further, we may give customer service by „remote control” via the internet. What is more, by this solution a big „cupboard size” fountain controller was exchanged to a small tool that can fit into a lady’s handbag.

One of our other successful innovations is the Water Switch 601. This is a practical, cost-effective product with marvellous performance, excellent water feature. We had orders and were delivering Water Switch 601 to 4 continents within 3 years of its birth.

We have two main goals:

One is to increase the number of fountains in those localities or private properties, where for any reason there is no possibility for huge projects. We want to make fountains achievable for most people possible. This intention gave us the motivation to make pre-composed fountains of different sizes, different water features, with, or without light. Very often they are suitable to revive old fountains that are out of order. Once we had a case where a municipality has contacted us with an urgent fountain project. The old fountain was out of order for years. The basin was still OK. We needed 2-3 weeks to get some small missing parts. Then we delivered the necessary material to the site. The installation was ready before noon! The fountain started to work.

The other goal is to build more and more, beautiful, attractive fountains. With the most possible additional sound, light, movement effects created for special surroundings and offering unforgettable experience…
