Attila Béres was born in Hungary in 1982. After spending childhood years in Keszthely, he started architectural studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 2004 he spent an Erasmus semester near the arctic circle in Oulu, Finland where he met Canadian architect Todd Saunders. In 2008 Attila Béres spent 5 months as a trainee in Saunders Arkitektur's Bergen office with Leonardo scholarship. In the same year he founded his own office that keeps close contact with the Norwegian firm since then - as a freelance architect he took part in more than 100 projects on 4 continents. Béres Architects's first independent project, Hideg house had been awarded with honorary mention in the 2013 Piranesi Awards in Piran, Slovenia and also nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Prize.
