A Claessens Group története 1995-ben kezdődött a Dél-Somogyi Állami Gazdaság utódcégének megvásárlásával. A belga származású tulajdonosok családjában hagyománynak számított a gazdálkodás, amely tevékenységet hazánkban is folytatva, létrehozták Somogy megye legnagyobb állattartó vállalatát. A közel 200 főt foglalkoztató cégcsoport mára Nagyatád és környéke egyik legjelentősebb foglalkoztatója. A cégcsoport központja Somogyszob, Nagybaráti-pusztán található.

The history of Claessens-Group began in 1995 with the purchase of the South Somogy State Farm‘s successor company. Farming is a tradition running in the families of the Belgian owners and to continue it in Hungary they have established Somogy County’s largest livestock business. The company with its nearly 200 employees has become one of the most significant employers in Nagyatád and its surroundings. The headquarters of the company is in Somogyszob, Nagybaráti-puszta.
